50 Favorite Words - #10 Hiatus
I took a much-needed break from writing a while ago. At first it was because I got busy. Really busy. And then, I’m not sure what happened. Some combination of being unsure that what I had to say would make for a good read combined with a weakening of my stick-to-it muscle. For me writing does not come easily – it is a process that is slow and requires persistence. Next thing I knew a year had gone by.
So here I am, trying again. Mostly for me. Mostly because I liked feeling like that I was starting to find my voice and then missed it during my hiatus. I also had the gift from a client who let me know that she selected me as a therapist because she read my blog. She noted that my imperfect efforts at wellness helped her feel like I might be able to understand her. And that is exactly why I started writing in the first place.
What is nice about giving yourself permission to take a hiatus and then coming back from it is that there is a fresh new energy – sort of like after taking a refreshing nap. Stay tuned over the next few weeks and months...new posts will be coming your way.
